MY STORY

I didn't mean to become a watercolor artist.  I really didn't.  It just kinda .. happened.

Back in 2013, I bought a cheap watercolor kit as a Christmas gift for a younger cousin.  On a whim, I bought a second set for myself.  And quickly found myself addicted.

By 2016, with the encouragement of an artist friend of mine, I submitted one of my pieces to a juried gallery show for the very first time.  Not only did I get in - that piece won People's Choice! So, I continued to paint, submit to gallery shows, teaching painting classes, and grow as an artist.

Then, in 2019, I moved from Ohio to Israel for love.  Then my new Israeli husband and I started traveling internationally together: getting married in Seychelles, summiting Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, hiking through the Greek mainland, and more.  And in every place, my travel watercolor kit came with me.  And it continues to grow with me and give me joy.

 

And, through my pieces and prints, even through the images I share here and on social media of my work and our travels, I get to share a small piece of our travels and the beautiful wide world I get to see.  And I hope, in some small way, it brings that beauty to you - and helps make your world and your dreams a little bit bigger.
