Of all the things making a comeback from the 80s and 90s, the fanny pack (or belly bag, bumbag, whatever you wanna call it) was the one that surprised me the most 😅

But the sleek little fannypack 2.0s I'm seeing nowadays are really starting to grow on me. Especially because I'm a sucker for practicality in my wardrobe (hello, hands free), and, for those skirts that are woefully pocket-less, now I can just clip a pocket on. (And you know mine is full of micron pens and mini sketchbooks 😅 I can't help myself)

It may have started as a bulky accessory made out of neon-green windbreaker material (ask me how I know 😅), and paired with a matching visor under a pile of hair-sprayed perm (you can ask my mom about that one, haha) - but it's evolved into something I can totally get on board with.

Speaking of which ... BRB. I think I gotta go order one of these for myself, too 😉

(P.S. This particular piece was gallery exhibited! It was selected for the juried Hit the Hop Show at Studios on High Gallery in Columbus, and was always on display in 3060 Galleries when I was a resident artist there.)
