The very first thing I did when I moved to Israel was hang my paintings in the hallway outside our kitchen - which is at the very center and heart of our house.

When I go to cook dinner or change the laundry - I see them, and I smile.  When our guests ask where the bathroom is - they see them, and they smile.

Before I moved in, my sweet minimalist husband lived in a clean box with plain white walls.  And then - his artist wife moved in. And now we have year-round gardens hanging on every wall of our home (even better - we never have to water them! 😉)
