The very first thing I did when I moved to Israel was hang my paintings in the hallway outside our kitchen - which is at the very center and heart of our house.

When I go to cook dinner or change the laundry - I see them, and I smile. When our guests ask where the bathroom is - they see them, and they smile.

Before I moved in, my sweet minimalist husband lived in a clean box with plain white walls. And then - his artist wife moved in. And now we have ocean waves and year-round gardens hanging on every wall of our home (even better than real plants - because we never have to water them!)

(P.S. This particular piece was donated to the charity Friends of Goodale Park, and auctioned off so that the proceeds could benefit Goodale Park in Columbus, OH. The same park where I saw the magnolia blossoms that inspired this piece!)
